E.L. CHISOLM
E.L. Chisolm (b. 1993) is an interdisciplinary artist, muralist, art activist, and creative placemaking consultant working between Birmingham, AL, and Atlanta, GA.

Through her work across mediums, she has transformed public spaces in underserved communities, using tactical urbanism and public art to combat blight, promote walkability, and enhance wellness. Rooted in the belief that all people deserve vibrant, thriving environments, her mixed-media paintings and murals emphasize the diverse textures and features of Black identity , drawing inspiration from the strength and honesty of the natural world.
A Birmingham native , Chisolm’s artistic journey began in childhood as a means of highlighting injustice and sparking change. Merging her passions for fine art and urban development , she strives to foster positive transformation in historically underserved communities . She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Urban Development with a minor in Visual Arts from Georgia State University —a background that, along with her tenure as a master cosmetologist , informs her nuanced approach to portraiture and social engagement.
